WE EXIST IN HAPPINESS AND LOVE

A QUEER ZINE FOR THOSE IN NEED OF JOY.

This is not perfect. But this is how I feel. The words taken from a conversation I had with my friend João (who also translated this into Portuguese, thank you João!).

To be part of the LGBTQIA+ community is to be filled with love, joy and happiness. And not one person, not one law, not one piece of legislation can take away the freedom you have to love yourself and your community. Children, people and families in this country are under attack for simply wanting to be themselves or for supporting their loved ones during transition or affirmation. The cruelty of those who put forth these anti-LGBTQ bills and continue to push these views and mindsets is enormous. These laws are vile.

The freedom to love yourself, and the joy to love yourself and who you are, is yours. It is your power. Thank you to those who have used their power for good and who fought for our rights. Thank you to those who continue to fight.
